안녕하세요~~ Annyeonghaseyo ~~

It's time for our school's annual trip~ PinkRoom organises school trips every year so that our students will get to experience the different cultures and see for themselves how the nail industries overseas are different from that in Singapore.
*NOTE: The school commissioned a tour agency for the Korea School Trip, and does not mark-up on any cost of air tickets, lodging, competition fees, food, transport, entrance tickets and all other expenses. The school makes no profit from this overseas school trip. The objective of the annual overseas trip is to enrich past & present PRINA.nailist in their passion for nails.

 KOREA

We will be there for the Korean's international nail competition in November. This might be the first time to Korea for many students. It will be a whole different experience... the food, weather and culture is totally different.

Korea will be more interesting as there will be the Beauty Fair to visit after the nail competition. It will be an eye opener for every one! It's winter in November... and you would be able to shop till 5am in the morning every single day!!
The main purpose of these annual school trips are to take part in the international nail competitions and explore the different nail products and techniques that may not available in Singapore yet. Taking part in nail competitions will allow all of you to strive and push yourselves harder to improve. The experience is totally different from the stress and excitement you'd get when you take part in the school's exams. But it is all worth it!

Our Principal, Rachel Tang had been invited as an international judge for Korea nail competitions since 2006. International Nail Competitions are highly participated and sought after events; where nailists from all over the world, like Japan, Korea, Europe goes to compete. It is an a truly unforgettable experience and an eye-opener for all who had participated before.
 Our school trips are also opened to all students who have already graduated from PinkRoom! Especially for those of you who have been doing nails for some time, you should use this as a chance to upgrade yourself and to improve on your skills.

Do give us a call at +65 6348-1592 if you are interested to join us.
There are limited space left, so decide fast!
NOTE:
The school commissioned a tour agency for the Korea School Trip, and does not mark-up on any cost of air tickets, lodging, competition fees, food, transport, entrance tickets and all other expenses.
All air tickets and lodging are purchased online thru the respective's tour agency. Prices of the air tickets and lodging will follow the prices quoted by the tour agency; due to the fluctuation and increase in airline's prices as it gets closer to the date. All prices collected are as stated by the tour agency. The same goes for all fees for competition application, transport, entrance tickets, etc.The school makes no profit from this overseas school trip. The objective of the trip is to enrich past and present PRINA.nailist in their passion for nails.

Lesson 4 – Polishing

Setting up the table to prepare for class!
Mr peng trying to look sexay in his pink apron.He say shorter more sexay. Want to seduce who?!Me in my pink apron~!Today’s lesson is on polishing and it’s so omgly hard. It is not easy painting your nails as you’ll have to avoid the skin area, paint evenly, and your hands cannot tremble! We also learnt the correct way to hold the polish, the customer’s fingers and how to paint IN SEQUENCE. I know we all used to anyhow paint as long as it gets painted, but it’s wrong! Lol. Very hard, need to practice more!!!!!
Teacher demonstrated french mani. Her french is perfect one can sigh. T.T We’re required to do 5 nails on french and the other with polish + simple nail art for exam. Sounds easy but super hard!!!!!!!! If fail how! So stressful ):
Look at her french, it’s perfect please!
After demonstration, it’s our turn to try! Not too bad right? I can’t remember which is mine or peng’s, just look out for the best 3 = mine hahahahahaha opps! =/
Next lesson is on cuticle cutting! Stay tuned (:

PRINA is a Registered Nail Academy under the Private Education Act

Under the Private Education Act and the Private Education Regulations, all private schools must be registered with the Council for Private Education in order to operate in Singapore
The Council for Private Education required the Nail School to meet their requirements in : Corporate Structure, Premises, Academic and Examination Boards, Courses and Teachers, Certificates Issued by Private Schools, etc. to be granted registration.

The only "NAILS-ONLY-ACADEMY" registered with the Council of Private Education in Singapore.

The Pink Room Int'l Nail Academy is a registered Private Education Institution(PEI) with the Council of Private Education (CPE) in Singapore. We are the only academy registered who solely concentrates on teaching professional nail technology & skills.

All other schools are diverse in their curriculums and courses, focuses mainly either in hair-skills or beauty-skills or makeup-skills; Nail-skills are usually an additional topic to their mainstream courses.

The Pink Room Int'l Nail Academy is the only "NAILS-ONLY-ACADEMY" that is registered, whose only teaching focus is NAILS-SKILLS. Thus we can confidently say that we are very good at teaching professional nail techniques, as that is the ONLY thing that we had been very focused on doing, for nearly the past 10 years.

Ensure that the Nail School is registered and listed on the Council for Private Education website.

All students should ensure that the registered nail school is listed on the Council for Private Education website. You can find our school's Private Education Institutions (PEIs) registration here:

Permitted Courses Offered by Private Education Institutions (PEIs)

Under the Private Education Act, registered private education institutions(PEIs) cannot offer or provide any courses without the permission of the Council for Private Education.

The Pink Room Int'l Nail Academy professional nail certificate courses & diploma course are registered and permitted by the Council for Private Education. To find out whether the course that you are interested to take up is permitted, please click here:

When Selecting a Course at a Private School:
Here are some questions to help you determine whether a private school and the courses it offers are reliable, especially those that are offered online:

  •     Can the diploma or degree from the private school be purchased or ordered?  If so, beware as it might be a degree mill.

  •     Does the private school claim accreditation when there is no evidence of this status?
  •     What are the required hours of attendance?
  •     Are there any academic assessments? How easy is it for students to earn credits?
  •     Is the duration required to obtain a diploma or a degree much shorter than the  generally accepted standards in most public or accredited institutions?

  •     Can the diplomas or degrees be obtained solely on experience or resume review?
  •     Is the registered office of the private school identified only though a telephone number, an e-mail address or a mail box address?

  •     Does the private school assert or highlight that accreditation is not needed when it is from a country where recognised or reputable institutions are accredited?

Your Student Contract:
All private schools and their students must sign a contract for any course longer than two months in duration. Before signing the contract, you should read through the Advisory Note to Students and ensure that the following information has been included and is accurate:

  •     The duration of the course, and whether it is offered or provided on a full-time and part-time basis;

  •     The commencement date and end date of the course;
  •     The dates of all examinations, major assessments and assignments;
  •    The expected date of the release of the results of the final examination, which should not be more than three months after the completion of the final examination unless otherwise permitted by the Council for Private Education;

  •     The full names of the institution conferring the award;

  •     The components of all fees payable by the student;
  •     The fee collection schedule, including any late fee payment policy; and
  •     The fee refund policy of the private school.

Private schools are not allowed to include clauses in the Private Education Institution-Student Contract which would allow them to make unilateral changes to the terms and conditions, or enable them to collect fees from students who have withdrawn from the course for the semesters or modules of the course which have not yet commenced.

Responsibility of the Student:

We urge all students to exercise caution when selecting a suitable private school(PEI) and courses to enrol in, and to make the effort to understand your rights and obligations before entering an agreement which will be legally binding.

The Council for Private Education is responsible for investigating any private school for any contraventions of the statutory requirements, as well as any person or organisation suspected of issuing fake degrees in or from Singapore.

Students may notify the Council by e-mail: CPE_CONTACT@cpe.gov.sg or write to 2 Bukit Merah Central, SPRING Singapore Building, #05-00 Singapore 159835, if they have any information about any unauthorised private school operating, or representing itself as being, from Singapore.
