We did the nails for ifeel magazine spread last summer, considering the hot summer is here again... figured i'll do the step-by-steps in detail for these series of pretty pretty photos.. There is a total of 5 sets of photos, I would post them up individually... ifeel is a Chinese-language magazine for youngsters...

鲜艳黄橘 X 海洋条纹
*Bright Yellow Orange x Marine Stripes  : :*Step 1: Polish your nails with OPI Alpine-Snow, I personally like OPI Funny Bunny better..Ha-ha..coz of the name. Anyway, it really depends on your skin-tone. I did some combinations of how different skin-tone would look with the two "whites"... by the way, you can try out how different nail polish colors look against your skin-tone at OPI's official website. *click here: http://www.opi.com/ : :

*Step 2-3: Using Blue colored nailpolish + a thin brush or Blue colored acrylic paint + a thin brush, paint 3 marine stripes onto the front part of the nail ends. Make sure that the thickness of each stripe are different, it'll make the nailart look less rigid . Do not cover more than half of the nail with the marine stripes. For Blue colored polish, i like OPI-DS magic.

: *Step 4: Dot irregular sized polka-dots onto the white part of the nail using yellow-colored nailpolish or yellow-colored arcylic paint. You can use a tooth-pick to do your dotting. If you are a professional nailist, you should be using the professional dotting-tool to complete this step on your customers.

:*Step 5: Glue on the 3D elements that are usually associated with the sea.. for example: star-fish shaped items, stones, beads.. keep your color-range tones within the blues, whites, yellow palette.

:*Step 6: Not in the pictures, but standard required step to ensure your nailart stays shining. Coat all your nails with a final layer of transparent top coat to seal in the design.
