This week, we are featuring the super cutesy Minions nailart!

The 3 year long wait since the Despicable Me movie is over! Despicable Me 2 is opening in cinemas this week!!! Pictures of the Minions are all over the internet, bus-stop advertisements, movie thrillers, Facebook, YouTube, everywhere!!!

The nailart is fun to do as there are so many different Minions to draw... with different expressions and hairstyles. Hmm... clothing is the same for all of them. lol~

Realistic Face Painting.... Guess Who Else?

I mentioned in the earlier post that our PinkRoom's Master Educator Joe Chua drew a couple of us on to nail-tips using the techniques of Realistic Face Painting. So as promised, these are the rest of the hand-painted nail art he did...

"I found a bunch of photos of hand-drawn nailart done by our "King of Nail-Gurus" Mr JOE CHUA~ It was done some time ago but we have never shared before...so here goes!! 

GUESS WHO? LOL~

Yes~ it's ME!

This was done by PinkRoom's Master Educator Joe Chua some time ago~ I remembered he just sat there drawing away with a fine brush and an array of paints... silently on his own drawing and drawing (those who knows him, know what I meant~ LOL) And after a while, he just turned around and asked "Nice or not?"

Singapore Merlion Nailart

It is always an enjoyable experience promoting our little Singapore to other countries. This time, we had a group of Japanese Nailist from Tokyo for a 1-day course at our Academy. It was so fun!! We had a mini-competition where everyone gets to cast their votes for their favourite nail art work & the best techniques work. The winners receives nail products!!
The Advance Nail Extension Demo by Joe Chua was done on a male nailist. There was quite a number of guys attending this class, itz a common trend in Japan for guys to be doing nails.












I think the most fun part of this class was that our local nailist & Japanese nailist had time to bond & learn about each others cultures during our local food buffet session.. haha! Everyone got to learn abit of Chinese & Japanese greetings.. more of these sessions in the future! Would update on our site & you gals see if you can join us! It'll be totally laughing fun!!

PinkRoomCup09 - Manicure Category

Just returned from Taiwan Judging a International Elite Nail Competition. So, no chance to blog... ^.^
Continuation of our PinkRoomCup 2009. The Manicure Category started early in the morning at about 9am, so hot coz the air con for the entire Expo Hall only starts at 10am... well there was a fan..haha.There was about 20 contestants for this category. Everyone is given 1 hour to complete a natural nail care service for both hands & to finish the 10 fingernails in red polish.

I'm very proud to say that every single contestants was very professional the entire duration of the competition, from their complete attire to their table-setup and their completed work. All of them are well-prepared due to their numerous assignments and assessment training at our academy's system. Hehe..so all hard work during school is worth it...Well done! ^.^
