In Nail Up! Vol.57, the Nail Up! editorial team has traveled down to Singapore and interviewed Pink Room regarding the first TAT pop-up store and PinkRoom's Shoppink Room.

Focusing not only on PinkRoom, the editorial team did a little feature about the culture and must-go places in Singapore too! There's the famous chicken rice with special soaked rice that leaves one wanting for more and the symbolic Merlion statue that is a fusion of a lion and mermaid. The team also headed down to the newly opened Universal Studios! Though they claimed that it is very much the same as the one in Japan, I'm sure there is still some differences installed that has given them a pleasant surprise ~

Well, there's is so much more features in Nail Up! Vol. 57,including the special interview between TAT's President, Mr. Naoki Tanako, and Pink Room's Principal, Ms. Rachel Tang. For more scoops on what went on during Nail Up! editorial team's trip in Singapore, grab a copy of the magazine at Pink Room's Shoppink Room now.

Located at International Plaza, #06-18, Shoppink Room is conveniently accessible and can be reached from Tanjong Pagar's MRT Exit C.

NAIL UP! FEATURE WITH PINK ROOM GRADUATES

There are no words as to how proud PinkRoom truly is about our graduates' achievements. So when our graduates' salons are voted as Singapore's most popular nail salons, the swell of pride we have for them as well as for our motto in providing quality nail classes is truly amazing.

Juup Nails has a pleasant and relaxing interior, managed by one of PinkRoom's graduate, Ms. Chu Wen. Ms. Chu Wen has always been a friendly and hardworking student at PinkRoom, her work has been meticulous and her nail techniques are of quality as well! In recent weeks, she has also helped out at PinkRoom in the recent exclusive media event with Vanity Trove. We truly appreciate her as a helpful individual and a dear member of our Pink Room family.

As for The Nail Artelier, the founders, Ms. Jenrine and Ms. Ying, were also once our students. Similar to Ms Chu Wen, after going through hours of practicing and self-study, they have emerged as nail professionals. With and enigmatic victorian theme, their salon has garnered the interest of many, which is also why PinkRoom is proud to have them as members of the PinkRoom family.

Both Juup Nails and The Nail Artelier has been featured in Japan's Nail Up! Vol.57 issue and read more about PinkRoom and its students, do grab a copy at the Shoppink Room, located at the International Plaza #06-18 [Exit C of Tanjong Pagar MRT].

We aim to deliver high quality nail class, hence, our syllabus has been scrutinised and constantly updated. Setting high standards for ourselves, we do not compromise on our student's class time and we encourage our students to come for make up classes whenever they miss a class to ensure that they do not miss out any nail tips or techniques.

Their result reflects on our reputation. Pink Roomhas hired dedicated and patient nail educators to teach our students. Specially trained and selected, we are very strict with our educators as a good nailist does not make him or her a good teacher.

WE LOVE FRIDAYS! (TGIF)

Unless the skies are pouring and a car whizzed past you, splashing puddles of muddy water on you just as you're on your way to the most important job interview of you life, your Friday should be pretty awesome.

This week has been pleasant atPink Room and we see more and more of our student coming in for self-study too! Yippee~ Our goal is to produce top-notch nailists who will be confident with their skills in future and I'm glad that our girls here are taking things much more seriously as their nail examinations is (looming) coming up!

PinkRoom takes professionalism seriously and our campus ensures that ample space is always available to our students for hands-on practice. SO, we urge all Pink Room students to work hard and we pray that you girls (you know who you girls are (;) will kick-ass at the examination!

Well, here's what went down at Pink Room this week:

Look what blew into PinkRoom! Nail Up! Vol.58 May issue is in at Shoppink Room! Grab yours now before it runs out. Additionally, Pink Room is giving away Nail Up! Vol.57 for those who subscribe for Nail Up! magazines now.

We had a sneak peek and the new issue is filled with so many adorable and chic nail art! See above for one of the (we think) cutest nail art set. The best thing about this magazine is that it guides you through various nail art STEP-BY-STEP. You know what this means ;) No more going for expensive workshops for nail art you can learn and practice at home!

Grab it now at Shoppink Room, located at International Plaza #06-18 [Exit C of Tanjong Pagar MRT].

Super cool laaaaaa (Sorry, momentary Singlish is totally justified here. Moving on...)

Sorry girls, but when you spill drinks and food all over in the classrooms, PinkRoom HAD to think of a solution. After all, practising nail art also means we need to ensure a hygienic and sanitised learning area for all. SO, we actually brought in a little table for all our students to put their food and beverages before going into the class! Don't worry, no one will steal your food and drinks ;) We swear.

Lastly, the HUGEST news of all, have you guys read up on the interview our Principal, Ms. Rachel Tang, did with Japan's most sought after nail celebrity, Ms. Eriko Kurosaki?

Ms. Eriko is very endearing and she even mentioned how she was pleasantly surprised at our last 10th Anniversary Pink Party Bash last Nov 2013! ^^v

CHOOSE THE RIGHT NAIL SCHOOL THIS SATURDAY! ALSO, UPCOMING KNIT HI-5 SEMINAR THIS MONDAY~

It’s Saturday tomorrow! Have you guys planned for your weekends yet? Rather than going to all the posh and expensive salons to pamper your nails, why not pick up that skill yourself? You could even start a nail salon in future when you have the time and capital!

But do you know who to go to for nail courses? Do you know what to look out for? Learn how to spot what’s right for you with the following list:

1.       Class Schedule

You’re a busy woman and there will certainly be last minute appointments or tasks you have to attend to, so you’ll definitely need a school that can offer you flexible class schedule. When you pay so much to learn the skill of nail painting, you wouldn’t want to miss a single technique and tips, and hence, do ask about the class schedule before signing up for a nail course!

2.       Location

Be it after a whole day of work or an indescribable feeling of laziness, may it be rain or shine, you’ll want a school that is accessible and easy to get to! When you pay so much, why does your journey to your nail school be an irritable trip?

3.       Schools that hard sell their products

No one likes to be scammed by their own school and a proper nail school should not be too focused on raking up products sales. The school should be an organization that you can trust and you shouldn’t have to defend yourself from unnecessary sales gimmicks.

4.       Will you be certified for your techniques or a certain brand after the training?

Have you thought of what you’ll need for a nail course/class? Sure, the school might prepare it for you and have everything ready for you. However, you have to make sure that you can learn how to use products of all brands and not just a specific brand!

When you go through a nail course by using only one specific brand, are you truly certified for your nail techniques or for that certain brand?

An example Pink Room’s Principal, Ms. Rachel Tang, likes to give:

“You can go to a BMW showroom to learn how to drive BMW cars, but that doesn’t mean you’ll know how to drive a Honda or a Toyota in future as all car brands’ cars have their own care features. But if you go to a driving centre, you can learn to drive with all sorts of cars. Same goes for choosing the right nail school.”

5.       How are the instructors like?

Do they have experience? What’s their background in the nail industry? Will they be a good teacher? These are the questions you have to find out before you actually sign up for that nail courses! A good manicurist doesn’t make them a good teacher!

PinkRoom urges you to weigh your options and choose the right nail school for yourself!

On a brighter note, PinkRoom is conducting the Knit Hi-5 Seminar again this coming Monday (3PM)! We understand that the previous Knit Hi-5 Seminar has been held on short notice, hence, we would like to hold the seminar again for those who couldn’t make it! For more information on the class, please call: +65 6220 1592 or visit our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151980504701272&set=a.479178101271.252053.37666536271&type=1&theater

PinkRoom really hopes to see you this coming Monday! TGIF girls xoxo
