START OF MAY, START OF SOMETHING EXCITING

It has been very busy at Pink Room as we take on new collaborations and ventures with other brands, exploring new opportunities and trying new things! As a school with more than 10 years of experience, Pink Room likes to stay on trend and try new things in order to stay updated and relevant. Hence, Pink Room's Principal, Ms. Rachel Tang, tries very hard for our students. Take a look at some of the events she coordinated for our graduates to gain exposure!

Pink Room has been a nail haven for ladies, how can we not celebrate Mother's Day?

Working with NTUC, Pink Room's graduates provided manicure services to all the mothers to pamper them! You can feel the motherly warmth in the air as all mothers converge and indulge in the manicures.

Mothers are still mothers and it's hard to let this love go, look at how this mother insist of painting her daughter's nails instead of the other way round! (Aww)

Even kids love pretty nails!

All mothers gathered to participate in Pink Room's Mini Nail Contest!
And the winners.......

Enthusiastic nail fan was overjoyed when she learned about our voucher and free nail art class for her and her mum.

The Team met so many interesting people and stories at the event!
Uncle was really fascinated with Pink Room and decided to give it a try. So brave, hahas!

True Mother and Daughter love~~ Age is but just a number and pampering is not limited by age.

Our Founder, Rachel Tang, gave a speech on nail care~

Lastly, we HAVE TO take a group shot with the two ladies that worked hard during the event. Seen here with our founder Rachel Tang~

Mid-Week Feature with Eriko-san & Rachel:

Eriko Kurosaki is a well-known figure in the nail industry in Japan. With her charismatic nature and 'kawai' style, she has since been featured on multiple TV shows and magazines. Eriko and Rachel met by chance in a international nail competition when they were both the invited judges.

As both are very passionate about nails and nail trends, the two professionals hit it off immediately. Soon, ideas and collaboration concepts were formed. Both agreed that the exchange of Japan's and Singapore's nail knowledge would be greatly advantageous for each other! This is also why Eriko was invited down to be a nail educator to Pink Room students for a day. It was a rare and unique chance for Pink Room student!

Eriko and Rachel has been friends since that fortunate competition and more is yet to come! To learn more about their journey in the nail industry, grab a copy of their feature in Japan's popular Nail Up! Vol.58 issue at Shoppink Room! Located at the heart of Singapore, Shoppink Room can be easily reached at International Plaza #06-18 (nearest MRT station: Tanjong Pagar)

Friday, April 11, 2014

In Nail Up! Vol.57, the Nail Up! editorial team has traveled down to Singapore and interviewed Pink Room regarding the first TAT pop-up store and PinkRoom's Shoppink Room.

Focusing not only on PinkRoom, the editorial team did a little feature about the culture and must-go places in Singapore too! There's the famous chicken rice with special soaked rice that leaves one wanting for more and the symbolic Merlion statue that is a fusion of a lion and mermaid. The team also headed down to the newly opened Universal Studios! Though they claimed that it is very much the same as the one in Japan, I'm sure there is still some differences installed that has given them a pleasant surprise ~

Well, there's is so much more features in Nail Up! Vol. 57,including the special interview between TAT's President, Mr. Naoki Tanako, and Pink Room's Principal, Ms. Rachel Tang. For more scoops on what went on during Nail Up! editorial team's trip in Singapore, grab a copy of the magazine at Pink Room's Shoppink Room now.

Located at International Plaza, #06-18, Shoppink Room is conveniently accessible and can be reached from Tanjong Pagar's MRT Exit C.

NAIL UP! FEATURE WITH PINK ROOM GRADUATES

There are no words as to how proud PinkRoom truly is about our graduates' achievements. So when our graduates' salons are voted as Singapore's most popular nail salons, the swell of pride we have for them as well as for our motto in providing quality nail classes is truly amazing.

Juup Nails has a pleasant and relaxing interior, managed by one of PinkRoom's graduate, Ms. Chu Wen. Ms. Chu Wen has always been a friendly and hardworking student at PinkRoom, her work has been meticulous and her nail techniques are of quality as well! In recent weeks, she has also helped out at PinkRoom in the recent exclusive media event with Vanity Trove. We truly appreciate her as a helpful individual and a dear member of our Pink Room family.

As for The Nail Artelier, the founders, Ms. Jenrine and Ms. Ying, were also once our students. Similar to Ms Chu Wen, after going through hours of practicing and self-study, they have emerged as nail professionals. With and enigmatic victorian theme, their salon has garnered the interest of many, which is also why PinkRoom is proud to have them as members of the PinkRoom family.

Both Juup Nails and The Nail Artelier has been featured in Japan's Nail Up! Vol.57 issue and read more about PinkRoom and its students, do grab a copy at the Shoppink Room, located at the International Plaza #06-18 [Exit C of Tanjong Pagar MRT].

One day with 黒崎えり子~~

Our dear Principal Rachel Tang invited Ms Eriko Kurosaki for a one-day Japanese Nail Art Class with Eriko Kurosaki. It was a rare experience for our students as Eriko-sensei seldom conduct classes out of Japan. This time, she was in Singapore to celebrate PinkRoom's 10th anniversary with us!

Apart from the class, Eriko-sensei was one of the judges for the Pink Room Cup Nail Competition. It was our great honour to have Eriko-sensei in Singapore. She is a popular nail celebrity in Japan~ who has her own nail schools in different part of Japan.
